Aligarh Muslim University is an Indian public central university. It was originally established by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875.

The Centre started MBA and BALLB courses in 2011 and added B. Ed. in 2013 to its portfolio of courses.

The student intake in MBA and BALLB is 60 each while in B. Ed. 50 seats are offered under various subjects.

At present, the AMU Murshidabad Centre represents students from 18 states of India. On human resource front, the Centre is having 29 well-qualified teachers.
