The AIPMT exam was replaced by NEET in 2016. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had revised the number of NEET exam cities and declared the exact number of exam centres of NEET through a notification released on May 4, 2018.

As per the CBSE, NEET was held on May 6 in 136 exam cities instead of 150 and there was a total of 2255 exam centres.

NEET is conducted in 2255 exam centres across 36 states and Union Territories of India.
