After class 12th Girls Eligible for Indian Navy

I have completed class 12 and I am a girl . Am i eligible to join Indian Navy or not ?

Sorry to say that Girls are not eligible to join Indian Navy after completion of 12th because according to UPSC girls are not eligible for Indian Navy after 12th.

One way to enter into the field of civil services after 12th then he/she has to give the NDA entrance exam and girls can not give the NDA entrance exam.

As there are three types of civil services that comes under NDA:
1.Indian Navy
2.Indian Air Force
3.Indian Military

But girls can join the defense sector only and only after completion of their graduation.

Candidates who desire to join the Army wing of the NDA must have a pass in class 12 or its equal from any subject stream from a recognized board or university.

Candidates must have a pass in class 12 in science.

Applicants must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years

They can apply after completion of graduation through CDS entrance exam.

Girls can not join Indian Navy after completion of 12th as after 12th the students have to give the NDA (National Defense Academy) entrance exam and girls are not eligible for NDA after 12th. So girls are not eligible for it.

There are three civil services that are come under NDA and those are as follows:

1. Indian Navy
2. Indian Air Force
3. Indian Military

Eligibility criteria for NDA:-

You must be an Indian.
Your age should lies between 16.5 to 19 years.
Your eye sight should be correct i.e.6/6.
You must be physically fit.
Girls are not eligible for it.
Only unmarried males are eligible for it.

Girls can only apply after completion of graduation.
They can complete their graduation with any of the field to apply for civil services.
After graduation, girls have to give the CDS entrance exam.

Scheme of Examination for CDS ;-

Indian Military Academy / Naval Academy / Air Force Academy

All the papers are of objective type.

English =100 marks

General Knowledge=100 Marks

Elementary Mathematics=100 Marks

Officer's Training Academy

All the papers are of objective type.

English=100 Marks

General Knowledge=100 Marks.
