To join Air Force after 12th, you have to crack NDA entrance exam.

NDA –
National Defence Academy, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC 2 times in a year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

NDA has following 3 wings

Indian Air force
Indian Army
Navy

Eligibility Criteria:

The Candidate should be citizen of india.

The Candidate should complete the 12th standard from any recognized university.

Age limit
Candidate age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

Female candidates are not eligible.
Unmarried males are eligible.

I have completed 12th with Non Medical Stream and now want to join Indian Air Force as Flying Officer so please give me all important details?

Here I am giving you all important details to join Indian Air Force as Flying Officer after 12th with Non Medical Stream.

Educational Qualification:
Candidate should have passed 10+2 with subjects Physics and Mathematics. The minimum marks required are around 60%.

Process of joining IAF as a Flying Officer after 12th science:

Step 1:

NDA (National Defence Academy) is a premier Defence Institute situated in Pune, India. It is an institute where the cadets belonging to the 3 wings of the Armed Forces- Army, Navy and Air Force train together.

Candidates must appear for the National Defence Academy entrance exam and clear the SSB (Services Selection Board) Interview.

Eligibility:
Candidates must not be older than 19 years of age, at the commencement of the course at NDA. Candidate may appear for this exam while he is appearing in 12th standard, finished 12th standard etc.

Step 2:
After clearing the NDA written exam and the SSB interview, candidates will be sent for medical examinations.

Step 3:
Candidates who make it through the medical tests are then taken into consideration for making the merit list.

Step 4:
Based on this merit list, students are accepted into the Air Force wing. After this selection, they’ll be given training at NDA for 3 years, along with Army and Navy Cadets.

Step 5:
After successfully completing the 3 year course at NDA, the Air Force cadets are sent to Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, for further training that lasts 1 year.

Step 6:
It is after successfully completing this training that they are commissioned as Flying Officers in the Indian Air Force.
