Air Force Combined Admission Test directed by India Air Force for grant of SSC in Flying Branch and Permanent/Short Service Commission in Technical and Ground Duty Branches.

The courses offered are:

Technical Branch:
Aeronautical Engineers Course (Permanent Commission)
Short Service Commission Course

Flying Branch:
Short Service Commission Course

Ground Duty Branches:
Ground Duty Officers Course (Permanent Commission)
Short Service Commission Course

Eligibility

Eligibility Conditions for Flying Branch:

Age Limit:

Candidates should be between 19 years to 23 years .

Applicants holding valid Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) relaxed in age upto 25 years.

Educational Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in any subject area with 60% Marks

or

Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology of 4 years with 60% Marks.

Applicants must be passed 12th Examination with Maths and Physics.

Physical Standards:

Minimum Height: 162.5 cms with correlated weight

Sitting height: Min-81.5 cms. Max-96 cms.

Leg length: Min-99 cms. Max-120 cms.

Thigh length: Max-64cms.

Vision – 6/6 and 6/9

Indian Air Force conducts Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) for candidates to recruit them to Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Officer Branches.


Flying Branch Qualification:


BE / B.Tech degree with aggregate 60% marks from a recognized institutions/ University or Graduates (Minimum 3 year graduation course) in any stream from a recognized institutions/ University .

Your age should be between 20-24 years on 01-01-2016.


Selection Criteria

Selection of applicants is based on the achievement in Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) and AFCAT ( for applications applied for technical branch post only) followed by Medical Test, Psychological Test, Group Test, Intelligence Test and Interview conducted by Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs). Applicants employing for Flying Branch must appear for Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT).
