Admission in IPU CET

Hey ,Will you tell me how I can get admission at IPU for engineering course ?

For providing admission in the engineering course at the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi the university conducts the IPU CET (Common entrance exam). Candidate wishes to get admission at the university must qualify this exam .

After the CET test the university make the merit list on the basis of the result of the exam and conducts counseling program and on the basis of the rank or marks students will allots college.

CET exam detail:

IPU CET Eligibility

1.Applicant must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board in the country. They must have passed individually in each subject and obtained a minimum of 55% in aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

2. Applicant must have passed in the subject of English.

IPU CET Syllabus

IPU CET consists of questions from the following given subjects:
Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics

IPU CET Pattern

The IPU CET will consists of a total of 150 question from Physics, Chemistry and Maths with equal weightage for all three subjects to be completed in 2.5 hours time.

Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks. Each wrong answer will get – 1 mark.

The IPU CET will be conducted in English

IPU CET Exam Date
IPU CET is generally conducted in the month of May.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, 'A' Grade accreditation with NAAC, established by Government of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999.


Application Process

First visit the official site of the IPU

You can fill in the online application form for the admission to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha


The Application form is fully automated and the payment to be made online only.

There are two forms , one for capturing the personal/general information and another one for capturing the course and payment related details.

You havce to fill in his/her general information for proceeding towards the course selection and payment section on the 2nd Form.

You have to select anyone out of the 3 exam categories:
Engineering/Professional/Medical programmes,
PhD Programmes (To be Notified Later)
Post Graduate Medical Courses (PGMC/M.D./M.S./D.M./M.Ch) / Super Speciality Medical Courses(SSMC).

Dates for IPU CET Application Form 2016

Last Date of application submission for PGMC (CET Code: 102) is 1st March 2016.

Last date for application submission for all other CET codes, other than B.Arch. (CET
Code: 100) and PGMC (CET Code: 102) is 29th March 2016.

For the programs RAT, MBA weekend, PGD in Radiological Physics, PGD in

Women’s Empowerment, MJMC Weekend, LLM weekend, MBA

Disaster Management weekend, B.Arch, CET will not be held and the last date to apply for all except B.Arch is May 17, 2016.

Start of application submission for B.Arch. (CET Code: 100) is 1st June 2016.

Last Date of application submission for B.Arch. (CET Code: 100) is 4th July 2016.

The applications should be submitted on or before the last date. On the last date of
application filling, the application can be submitted by 4.00PM only.
