Tell me about the eligibility criteria for taking admission in MCA course at Delhi University.

Department of Computer Science was founded in University of Delhi, in the year 1981. This department started the three year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Programme in the year 1982, and M.Sc. Computer Science course in the year 2004.

Admission Eligibility Conditions:
Any bachelor degree from the University of Delhi with at least one paper in Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research)

Minimum Percentage Required:
60% marks in aggregate.

Semester 1:
Data Structures and File Processing
MCA 202 Discrete Mathematics
MCA 203 Computer Graphics
MCA 204 Data Communication and Computer Networks

EL2 One elective out of the following
i) MCA 205 – Fundamentals of Accounting and Finance
ii) Outside Department Elective (preferably Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Operational Research)

Eligibility For Admission in MCA

Any bachelor degree from the University of Delhi with at least one paper in Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research) under annual mode/at least two papers in Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research) in semester mode or an equivalent degree.

B.Sc. (Honours) Computer Science (10+2+3 scheme) from University of Delhi or any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to University of Delhi with 60% marks in aggregate.

B.Sc. Applied Physical Sciences with Mathematics and Computer Science/B.Sc.(General) Mathematical Sciences, (10+2+3 scheme) with Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Delhi with 60% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately.

Final year student are also eligible to apply.
