The National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) is active, dynamic and vibrant in carrying out the programmes designed by ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.

300 NSS Units;300 Programme Officers with 30,000 Volunteers (SC-4884; ST- 2394; Gen-22722) spread over Guntur and Prakasham Districts of Andhra Pradesh.

3rd largest NSS Cell in the state of Andhra Pradesh

Only NSS Cell in south India having made online activities in the form having exclusive web site NSS - Nagarjuna University

Received prestigious awards viz. state Best NSS Coordinator, best NSS volunteers

2nd in the world and India, NSS Cell of ANU has attempted Guinness world record in the event of 1 km largest bare foot walk organized on 12.12.12 with 7,050 volunteers.

Composition of NSS Units:NSS Units are located in different Jr. Colleges Degree Colleges, Professional colleges such as Engineering, Pharmacy & PG Colleges

Only NSS Cell of ANU in the state having NSS sub units Disaster management cell – ERU’s (Emergency Response Units) operating with the cooperation of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) of 10th battalion.
