Tell me who conducts Maharashtra State Eligibility Test for Lectureship, please provide details???

The SLET examination of state Maharashtra is conducted by the University of Pune as state agency.

State Level Eligibility Test or State Eligibility Test is conducted to determine the knowledge level and capability of candidates and appoint them as lecturers or assistant professors in all the private and government colleges and universities.

Eligibility:;
Except SC/ST/PH have to score 55% of minimum marks in order to take up the SLET Maharashtra or general category candidates should score 55% in their PG examination.

Reserved category of candidates must secure 50% of marks and they are given 5% of marks relaxation.
Scheduled category candidates come under this criterion.

For all category candidates, PG degree is must.
Master degree must be with any discipline and there is no compulsion.

The State Level Eligibility Test for lectureship is conducted by different states to apply for the post of lecturers in that state only.

SLET is based on the pattern of the National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC and UGC/ CSIR for Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences subjects respectively.

Candidates appearing for SLET can answer the paper in their own mother tongue or in English.

Candidates must have passed Masters Degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST)
