What Is The Procedure To Join Indian Police Service

Hi I want to join the Indian Police Service IPS so can you please tell me that what process should I follow for the same??

Well there are basically 3 steps to join the Indian Police Service IPS And these are

1 full fill the eligibility criteria

2 written test

3 physical test


Police department , there are many Types of Jobs

If you have completed 12th , then you can apply for the post of Conistable

If you have completed Any Degree , then you can apply for the post of Subinspector


IPS - Indian Police Service Eligiblity criteria

The candidate must be a citizen of india

The candidates should have completed GRDUATION from a Recognised university

The candidate's age should be between 21-30 years , if the candidate is belong to General Category

The candidate's age should be between 21-33 years , if the candidate is belong to OBC Category

The candidate's age should be between 21-35 years only , if the candidate is belong to SC or ST category


There is a Restriction in Number of Attempts for the IPS exam
