What Is the Age Limit for KPSC KAS Exam

I have decided to apply for the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) KAS Exam and want details about this exam. Will you tell me what is the age limit for KPSC KAS Exam and also provide me complete KPSC KAS Syllabus for doing exam prep?

Re: What Is the Age Limit for KPSC KAS Exam

Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) was founded in the year 1951. The motive of setting up of this commission was to choose and employ competent aspirants at different positions for various departments of the State Government.

Age Limit:

The general merit candidates can appear for KAS examinations till they are 37 years, while it is 40 for OBC candidates and 42 for SC/ST candidates.

As of now, the upper age limit for general merit candidates is 35 years, while it is 38 and 40 for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

Attempts:


The maximum number of attempts for general category candidates is seven, while it is nine for OBC candidates.

There is no limit for number of attempts for SC and ST candidates.

Academic Qualification:


You should Possesses Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree awarded by a University established Law in India are Possesses an equivalent qualification.

KPSC KAS Syllabus:

Preliminary Syllabus:

PAPER – I

1. Current events of National and International importance.

2. Humanities: History of India– Applicants can understanding the subject in its social, economic, cultural and political aspects with a focus on Indian national movement with good knowledge on Karnataka.

3. World Geography and Geography of India with a focus on Karnataka.

4.Indian polity and economy, including the country's political system, rural development, planning and economic reforms in India-sustainable development, poverty alleviation, demographics, social sector initiatives etc

PAPER – II

1.Current events of State importance and important State Government program
2.General Science & Technology, Environment & Ecology
3. General Mental Ability

1.Kannada
2.English
3.GK
4.2 subjects opted from list
