West Bengal University of Technology PGET
Can you tell me if PGET or Post Graduate Entrance Examination score is also required in West Bengal University of Technology though having Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score for M.Tech admissions?

The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology conducts an entrance exam for the M.Tech admissions. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) qualified candidates also need to appear for the exam as there is no exception for them for the M.Tech admissions. WBUT PGET 2016 Important Dates (Tentative) Online Application availability June, 2016 Last Date for submission of Online Application July, 2016 Receipt of Hard Copy of Application July, 2016 Admit Card Download July, 2016 WBUT PGET 2016 July, 2016 WBUT PGET 2016 Counselling July & August, 2016 WBUT PGET 2016 Eligibility Criteria: • One must have passed a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/ Architecture from a recognized institute/university. • Final Year candidates can also apply provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria by August 31, 2016 • One who is Associate Member of a Professional of Engineers recognized by the Govt. of India as equivalent courses are also eligible to apply • One who has M.Sc. or are completing M.Sc in the appropriate branches are also eligible. • Distance education degrees are not eligible WBUT PGET 2016 Exam Pattern: • The duration of the exam is 2 hours • Candidates have to attempt a single paper for 100 marks. • The question paper consist of a total of 100 multiple choice objective type questions • The question paper is in English only. • The paper comprise of the following sections: General Section: consisting of English, Aptitude in Logical/Reasoning power and Mathematics for 20 marks Mathematics, Basic Sciences & Engineering Sciences: 30 marks Relevant Engineering Section: 50 marks • There will be no negative marking system in the test. |
