Vidyasagar University was established in the year 1981 and it is affiliated to UGC . It is located at Midnapore, West Bengal, India .

Hostels:
1. Old Girls’ Hostel (Matangini Chhatrinibas)
Seat capacity – 187 persons

2. New Boys' Hostel (Sidhu Kanu Birsa Chhatrabas)
Seat capacity – 120 persons

20 seats within the 120 seats – capacity hostel are reserved for research scholar.

3. 2. New Girl' Hostel (Pritilata Chhatrinibas)
Seat capacity – 120 persons

Old Boys' Hostel (Kshudiram Chhatrabas)
Seat capacity – 182 persons

Women research scholars have been provided with single unit residential facility in the resident

Facilities

• Hostels are provided with facilities of playing Badminton and indoor games like Carrom, Chess and Ludo etc.

• One Ambulance is available in the University campus 24x7.

• The University has medical unit with one qualified medical officer and other supporting staff

• Facilities of playing Volley Ball and Cricket are also provided in PG Boys’ Hostels.

• The university has Yoga trainer.

• Television with Digital TV connection and telephone are provided in the common rooms of the Hostels.
