Age Limit (as on 1/7/2014): Candidates should be minimum 21 years. There is no upper age limit is prescribed by UP Madhyamik Shiksha Sewa Chayan Board.

Qualification(s): In order to be qualified for the post, candidate should have following qualifications obtained from a recognized university/Instt.
– for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): A Bachelor Degree in concerned subject.
– for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): A Post Graduate Degree in concerned subject.

Application Charges: Applicants who wish to apply for the job in UP, must pay an application fee according to their category. Fee for various categories is given below:

General/OBC category: Rs. 430/- (Rupees Four Hundred Thirty only)
SC category: Rs. 230/- (Rupees Two Hundred Thirty only)
ST category: Rs. 130/- (Rupees One Hundred Thirty only)

The fee should be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of Secretary, U.P. Madhyamik Shiksha Sewa Chayan Board payable at Allahabad. DD must be issued only from State Bank of India/Punjab National Bank/Union Bank of India/Allahabad Bank/Bank of Baroda.

Enclosures: To submit a fully filled application form, the copies of following documents/certificates must be attached with application form in support of candidature:

I. Requisite application fee in the form of Demand Draft.
II. A recent passport size color photograph (pasted on the space provided in application form).
III. Attested copies of certificates in support of age, educational and any other specified qualifications.
IV. Documents in support of claim for age-relaxation.

Selection Methodology: The suitable candidates were selected on the basis of obtained marks, as per mentioned below:

1. Written Examination: 85% marks
2. Interview: 10% marks
3. Ph.D/D.Phil Degree: 2% marks
4. Master Degree in Education: 2% marks
5. Bachelor Degree in Education: 1% mark
