The Department of Business Management, University of Calcutta offers Master of Business Administration MBA program of duration 2 years.

University of Calcutta (CU), Kolkata invites applications for admission to a two year Post Graduate Degree Course

Master of Business Administration MBA program-

Master of Business Administration in (Financial Management) or MBA (Financial Management) in the Department of Commerce for the session 2018-20

Course Objectives

To provide high quality education in business finance to the students who are expected to:

(a) join industry and business

(b) seek entrepreneurial or self-employment positions

(c) pursue research and teaching as a career

Intake Capacity

The intake of 30 Indian students, plus 5 foreign students, at the beginning of the first semester

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelors degree (10+2+3) system with Honours in Arts/Science/Commerce etc.

Bachelors degree in Engineering and Technology/Medical Science/Professional courses/or its equivalent from any recognized university

Candidates must have qualified in CAT, 2017 or MAT, June 2017, September 2017 and December 2017

Selection Procedure-

Candidates will be selected on the basis of CAT/MAT /or any other national level admission test score followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)
Selection will be based on an overall score comprised of the following:

Past academic achievements: 100 marks

CAT or MAT: 50 marks

Group Discussion (G.D.): 20 marks

Interview: 20 marks

Work experience: 10 marks

Total: 200 marks

G.D. and viva will be held in the Department of Commerce, Calcutta University

Fees Details

Indian Students: Rs.186000/- for two years (includes Course fees + Rs.10000/- caution deposit + Rs.16000/- Study material)

Foreign Students: US $ 9000 for two years (includes Course fees and Study Material US$ 8000 + Caution Deposit US$ 1000)

Important Dates

Issue and Receipt of Application Forms: 15th November 2017 to 28th February 2018

List of Eligible Candidates: 14th March 2018

Admit Cards (for GD & PI) to be distributed: 21st March 2018

Group Discussion & Viva Voce (at Kolkata): 04th April 2018

Publication of list of successful candidates: 25th April 2018

Admission to be completed by: 30th May 2018

Inauguration and Commencement of the Classes: 03rd July 2018
