The Department of Chemistry began its excursion in 2009 with six employees. We have progressed significantly from that point forward and have a few achievements amazingly both for the Department and also at the individual level. A portion of the highlights of our accomplishments are:

The Department of Chemistry is the First Department of West Bengal State University to be selected for sponsorship by FIST-DST, Ministry of Science and Technology in the year 2012.

About 30% of the PG understudies of the Chemistry Department have qualified in NET/GATE

The office offers M.Sc. in Chemistry with three specializations, viz. Inorganic, Organic, Physical science.

The department additionally offers Ph.D. in science.
