Here I am providing the Eligibility Conditions required for the State Bank Probationary Officers Exam which you are looking for . Nationality Applicants must be either a citizen of India or one holding eligibility certificates issued by the Government of India. Applicants should have First division in Graduation in any discipline with 65% or more marks SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Applicants should have First Division in Graduation In any discipline with 60 % or more marks or Proficiency in Computers and certificate of having completed training from a reputed institute is also essential. Degrees which are considered equivalent to graduation E.g. CA, ICWA, CS, as also qualifications in management like MBA / PGDBM, subject to fulfillment of criteria as regards division and marks as stipulated above. Age Not below 21 years and not above 30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is as per rules for specified categories including SC/ST/OBC etc. SBI PO Exam Syllabus Part A 1. Test of Reasoning: This test would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test may include questions on Analogies Similarities Decision-making Visual memory Discrimination Observation Relationship concepts Arithmetical reasoning Verbal and figure classification Arithmetical number series, etc. Differences Space visualization Problem-solving Analysis Judgment 2. Test of English Language: English language ability would be tested through questions on: Grammar Synonyms Vocabulary Sentence completion Antonyms and Comprehension of a passage, etc. 3. Test of Numerical Ability/ Data Analysis and Interpretation Questions will be of: Whole numbers Decimals and fractions and Relationship between numbers. 4. Test of General Knowledge and General Awareness The questions in GK and General Awareness will test the candidates General Awareness about the happening in the society. Part B: Subjective exam will consists of question intended to measure higher order cognitive abilities. |

As you want I am here telling you about the Eligibility Conditions for Probationary Officers Exam. Eligibility Criteria : Age Limit: 21-30 Years Educational Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university / college Relaxation in age for reserved categories as per rules. Candidate should posses working knowledge of computers. Candidate may also be required to possess proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT. SBI PO Exam Pattern: SBI PO Exam Pattern is of Two Phases - 1.Written Examination and 2. Group Discussion and Interview. A. Phase- I: Written Examination (250 marks) consisting of Objective Tests and Descriptive Test. (i). Objective Tests (200 marks): The Objective Tests with 2 hour duration will consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each as follows: (a) Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc) (b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers (c) Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation (d) Test of Reasoning (High Level) The candidates are required to qualify in the Objective Tests by securing passing marks, in each of the tests, to be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level for each category. (ii). Descriptive Test (50 marks): The Descriptive Test with 1 hour duration will be of “Test of English Language (comprehension, short précis, letter writing & essay)”. B. Phase-II: Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks). The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to 3 times the number of vacancies in each category, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion & Interview will be as decided by the Bank. C.Final Selection: The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks maximum) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks maximum) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category. |
