Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit is a statutory educational Institution constituted by Govt. of Kerala in 1993.

The Regional Campus Tirur is one of the earliest regional centers established by the University.


This centre could provide quality education to the students from the socially and economically backward areas of Malappuram district.

The main deterrence for the development of the centre was non-availability of required extent of land for the construction of building.
