I have completed my UG degree and decided to prepare for the Combined Defense Services” Examination (CDS). Will you tell me what the Maximum Age For CDS Exam and tell me qualification required also provide me Important Dates of this Exam?

The "Combined Defense Services” Examination (CDS) is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

The Notification for the examination is usually released in the months of October and June, and the examinations are conducted in February and November respectively.

Age Limit:

Indian Military Academy 19-24 years
Air Force Academy 19-23 years
Naval Academy 19-22 years
Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 years

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

i) For Indian Military Academy / Officers’ Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent

ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Bachelor of Engineering

iii) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering

Online applications can be filled from 07th November 2015 to 04th December 2015

Date of Commencement of Exam: 14th February 2016 (Sunday)

Duration of Exam: 01 Day

Those appearing for Degree Exam will be required to submit their certificates by 01st Week of October/Nov 2016
