Karnataka State Open University is a distance learning university located at Mysore, Karnataka, India .

Admission Qualification:
Applicants must have completed 10+2 with Physics,Mathematics, Chemistry or its equivalent with pass class Examination of any recognized Board/Council.

Lateral Entry to 2nd Year(IIIrd Semester):
Applicants who has completed three years of Polytechnic diploma from state technical board or its equivalent after 10th standard Or

Applicants must have completed 3 year B.Sc in any Stream with Mathematics as major subject is eligible to take admission in 2ndYear(IIIrd Semester) of B.Tech in respective branches.

Scheme of Examination:
a. Internal assessment (IA) through assignments with a weightage of 25%
b. Term-end examination having a weightage of 75%
c. Each paper will be of 100 marks
d. Minimum for pass is each course is 40%
