The detail about the B.Tech admission in Jadavpur University is as follows:


For Engineering / Technology Courses other than Marine Engineering:
Applicant must be at least 17 years of age.
There is no upper age limit.


Marine Engineering course:
Applicant must be at least 17 years of age and must not be above 25 years of age.


Applicant must pass Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination from recognized council or board with:


1. Individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
2. Minimum of 60% marks in the above subjects taken together (55% for SC/ST/PwD/OBC applicant) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of applicant) in the said qualifying examination.


For Marine Engineering Courses:
Applicant must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board with :
1. 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together with individual pass marks in the said subjects.
2. Minimum of 50% marks in English as subject in either in '10' or in '10+2' standard.


For Architecture Course:
Applicant besides satisfying the eligibility criteria must qualify in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and necessary document in this regard is to be produced at the time of Counseling.


Selection Procedure:


The admission of applicant for these programmes will be based on the attainment of marks in the Entrance Tests conducted by the University exclusively.


Clearance of Entrance exam is a must for all aspirants to attend this admission test. Candidates, who do not qualify the admission Test, would not be entitled for admission in their preferred course.
