Here I am providing the detailed information regarding the IPS entrance exam forms dates. CSE consists of three phases 1) CSAT 2) Civil Services Mains 3) IPS Interview. IPS Exam Date:- Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2015:- Date o:- 23.08.2015 Civil Services (Main) Exam 2015:- Date :- 18.12.2015 IPS Syllabus UPSC Prelim Exam Syllabus Part A Paper I - (200 marks) Duration : Two hours • General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization • General Science. • Current events of national and international importance • History of India and Indian National Movement • Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World. • Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc. • Economic and Social Development-Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc. Paper II-(200 marks) Duration : Two hours • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. — Class X level) • English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level). • Comprehension • Interpersonal skills including communication skills; • Logical reasoning and analytical ability • Decision making and problem solving • General mental ability Part B Paper III : English (200 marks / 3 hours duration) : The pattern of questions would be broadly as follows (indicative only) :— (i) Usage and Vocabulary; (ii) Precis Writing; (iii) Comprehension of given passages; (iv) Paragraphs writing; Paper IV : Applicants will be required to write two Essays. One topic will pertain to Indian Society/politics/ Economy/Development, Growth and related aspects. The other topic will pertain to security and related matters. |
