Sorry to say that being 16 years old you are not eligible for the IIT JEE entrance exam .

Basic Eligibility for IIT JEE

Applicants must possess a pass in the 10+2 examinations from any recognized board.
Those Applicants appearing for the final examination in 12th can also apply.
Applicants must be physically fit for pursuing the course.
Applicants should pursue at least 60% in the qualifying examination. For Applicants belonging to SC/ ST/ PD, they should secure at least 55% in the same.
Applicants can appear for IIT JEE for only two times and that must be in the consecutive years.

Age Qualification for IIT JEE

Applicants appearing for this examination should have attained the age of 17 years at the time of admission and should not cross the age of 25 years.

Important Dates:
Online Registration Starts: May 4 , 2014
Closing of website for registration: May 9, 2014
Last date for receipt of application fee through e-challan mode: May 12, 2014
JEE Advanced 2014 Test Date: May 25, 2014
Paper 1: 9am to 12 noon
Paper 2: 2 pm to 5 pm

Date of Result: June 19, 2014
JEE Advanced 2014 Counselling Registrations: June 20 to 25, 2014

Joint Entrance Examination Main exam is conducted by CBSE

It will be held on 04 April 2015

Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed 12th with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the subjects as optional subjects (Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology) with minimum 50% marks

Number of Attempts:
Candidate can appear for JEE (Main) shall be limited to 03 (three).

Exam Pattern:
JEE (Main) shall have two papers,
Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.)
Paper-2 (B. Arch. /B. Planning.)

Mode of Examination:
The Paper-1 of JEE (Main) will be conducted in two separate modes i.e.
Offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) mode and
Online (Computer Based Examination) mode

Candidate will opt for either Pen and Paper Based OR
Computer Based examination modes for Paper-1 only.

The Paper-2 of JEE (Main) will be conducted ONLY in Pen and Paper based examination mode.
