The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a public engineering institution situated in Powai, Mumbai, India.

In the QS World University Rankings 2014, IIT Bombay was ranked as India’s top university.

The IIT Bombay M.Tech Admission 2016 has been announced prior to the announcement of the GATE 2016 Result on March 19, 2016.

Candidates should therefore apply for the same if they consider that they can obtain the requisite GATE scores required for admissions.

IIT Bombay M.Tech 2016 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should have passed any one of the following

B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Sc. (Engineering)/ M.Sc./ M.C.A./ MBBS/ M.Pharm./ B.Pharm.(4 yr. Degree)/ BDS (4 yr. Degree) with at least 60% (55% marks for SC/ST) marks.

OR

Associate Membership Examinations recognized as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree conducted by recognized professional bodies (like Institution of Engrs.

(India), Institute of Chemical Engrs., Aeronautical Society of India, Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers., Indian Institute of Metals etc.)

Candidates having degree from foreign universities are required to submit correspondence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi for qualifying Exam and proof of having secured first class or 60% (55% for SC/ST) or equivalent in qualifying examination

They should have passed the corresponding GATE Paper as specified.
