The IIT Bombay has various central facilities. The Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility formerly known as the Regional Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre (RSIC) was established at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in the year 1976.

This center is established with the support of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi.

For to use these facilities you need register is essential. It gives you a priority number and a reference to your sample. SAIF office serves as the registration desk.
