As you want to know about the IAS and IPS Exam so here I am providing you the same.


It depends on you whether you go for IAS or IPS with higher rank.

For your help I am providing you the detail of both IAS and IPS.

IAS

Eligibility for IAS
To be eligible for becoming an IAS officer, the Applicant must have a degree from an Indian University or an equal qualification. Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination.

Age
21 to 30

Nationality
A citizen of India, Nepal, or Bhutan and Tibetan refugee

Paper Pattern
General Knowledge 200
Comprehension and logical reasoning 200
Essay type Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks)
English Qualifying Paper (300 marks)
General Essay type paper (200 marks)
General Studies papers (300 marks each)
Optional subjects papers (300 marks each)

Syllabus
Paper 1

Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian national movement
Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
General science.

Paper 2
Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
English language comprehension skills (Class X level)

IPS Detail

Eligibility
To be eligible for becoming an IPS officer, the Applicant must have a degree from an Indian University or an equal qualification. Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination taken every year by UPSC

21 to 30

Nationality
A citizen of India, Nepal, or Bhutan and Tibetan refugee
