How to join CDS Exam

Combined Defence Services or CDS is an examination conducted by union public service commission.

This test is conducted twice a year and you can apply when the notice is published by UPSC.

Eligibility criteria:
The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognized university.

Final year candidates are also eligible.

Candidates should be a citizen of india.

Candidate must be physically fit

Age limits
19 years to 25 years

Selection procedure:
Selection is based on following stages:

Written test,
Interview,
Medical test

The Written Test has three sections of English, Elementary mathematics and General Knowledge.

The CDS Exam will have Objective Type (multiple choice answers) questions only.

Each paper is of 100 marks and the time duration for each test is 2 hours. For Officers Training Academy, the candidates have to appear for a two hour papers on General Awareness and English and the total marks is 200

The maximum marks allotted to the written test and the interviews will be equal for each course – the maximum marks allotted to the written test and interview is 300 each for IMA, INA and AFA. For OTA it will be 200 Marks
