The United Nations Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees (CRSR) is the cornerstone of refugee rights and the duties that are cast upon nations that grant them asylum.

The conference was conducted on 6th & 7th October, 2012

The conference is jointly organized by HNLU and ILSA.

The conference will be split into three sessions.

The first session, students interacting with resource persons from UNHRC and ICRC on the current international legal framework for refugees

In the second session, student delegates with the guidance of panelists including academicians and advocates of refugee rights

Finally, there was a session with officials from the Ministry of External Affairs in order to understand the stance taken by the Indian state as far as the CRSR is concerned.

The conclusion of this conference will be marked by the presentation of a Memorandum to the Ministry of External Affairs, India
