CS: company secretary Company secretary is a senior position in a private or public sector organization, usually in the form of an executive position or above. In huge American and Canadian publicly listed company, a company secretary is typically named a corporate secretary or secretary. There are three programs for Company secretary • Foundation Program • Executive Program • Professional Program Eligibility Criteria for CS Foundation Program Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent course from any stream, except for Fine Arts from any recognized board. Admission Procedure for CS Foundation Exam: To get admission to the CS course the students at first have to fill the application form. Application form is available along with the Prospectus from the ICSI. Candidates who want to join this course can obtain the form by sending a DD of Rs250/- drawn in favor of “The Institute of Company Secretaries of India”. The DD must be payable at New Delhi. Examination fee Foundation Program -Rs. 1200/- Executive Program- Rs. 1200/- per Module Professional Program-Rs. 1200/- per Module Subjects in CS foundation: English and Business Communication Economics and Statistics Financial Accounting Elements of Business Laws and Management Intermediate Course Key Subjects / Topics of Study: Group-I Company Accounts and Cost & Management Accounting (ICA & CMA) General Laws and Commercial Laws (IGCL) Management Information Systems and Corporate Communication (IMIS & CC) Tax Laws (ITL) Group-II Company Law (ICL) Company Secretarial Practice (ICSP) Economic, Labour and Industrial Laws (IELIL) Securities Laws and Regulation of Financial Markets (ISL & RFM) Final Course for Company Secretary -In the CS Final Course, there are basically 9 subjects. -These are arranged into 3 groups which include 3 papers of 100 marks each.
