No, Maths is not compulsorily needed in 12th for giving CS (Company Secretary) exams. The Company Secretary eligibility required is as follows:

1. Educational Qualification for CS
The minimum eligibility required for the Foundation course for Company Secretary is 10+2 or an equivalent exam.

Candidate who has enrolled for the 10+2 exam can apply with the proof of passing the examination within 6 months.

Candidates who have pass the Foundation Course and are minimum 17 years of age can apply for the Intermediate course.

Graduates, Post-Graduates (excluding fine arts) and those who have passed final exam of ICWAI or ICAI or of any other accountancy Institution in India or abroad recognized by the Council of the Institute can directly enroll to the intermediate course without doing foundation course.

After passing the intermediate course a registered candidate can apply for the Final course.

2. Age

There is no specific restriction with regard to the age of the candidate or marks secured in Senior Secondary Examination or subjects studied. However the candidates who are minimum 17 years old can apply for the Intermediate course

A registered student is required to complete the Intermediate and the Final examination within the registration period.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India conducts Integrated Company Secretaryship Program every year to invite admissions into this full time course which is a non-residential course.
Eligibility for Company Secretary Exam:

The Candidates applying for ICSI entrance examination are required to pass their Graduation or 10+2+3 with more than 50% of aggregate marks.

The applicants can also pass from the courses of Foundation Program in ICSI or passing in CPT from ICAI or at least passing from foundation course of ICAI.

Age Limit for Company Secretary Exam

Applicants interested in pursuing the three year course of CS exam are required to not exceed 26 years of age as of 1st July 2015.

Application forms will be available from the 1st week of April 2015.

Last date for submission of Online Application Forms is in 2nd week of May 2015.

Online Entrance Test will be in 3rd week of May 2015.
