Common Proficiency Test is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for admission in to the CA course. Eligibility: The applicant should have completed 12th with good academic record from any recognized university of India. Important dates: 1. Last date for registration to CPT Course with BOS 1st April, 2014 2. Commencement of Online filling of CPT Examination Form 4th April, 2014 (10:00 A.M. IST) 3. Last date & time for Login Creation/Submission of CPT Examination application form Online 25th April, 2014 upto 5:30 P.M. (IST) 4. Last date for revalidation of registration for June, 2014 CPT 25th April, 2014 5. Last date for receipt of print out of online examination form duly filled up 29th April, 2014 6. Date of CPT Examination 22nd June, 2014 (Sunday) 7. Likely date of declaration of result Around one month from the date of examination Syllabus SESSION – 1 ( Two Sections – Two hours – 100 marks ) Section A : Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 marks ) Section B : Mercantile Laws ( 40 marks ) SESSION – II ( Two Sections – Two hours - 100 marks ) Section C : General Economics ( 50 marks ) Section D : Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 marks ) |

The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is conducted by the Council of the Institute Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Tentative dates: CPT application form submission: 4 April to 25 April CPT 2014 exam date: 22 June Eligibility: Candidates must have passed in 10+2 from recognized University CPT consists of four subjects namely, Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude 1. First session: Morning session 10:30 am to 12:30 pm – (Section A-Fundamental of Accounting)- 60 Marks (Section B- Mercantile Laws) - 40 Marks 2. Second session: Afternoon session 2pm to 4 pm – (Section C- General Economics) - 50 Marks (Section D- Quantitative Aptitude) - 50 Marks Paper pattern: The paper consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 200 marks. 25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
