Re: Common Entrance Exam Design CEED

CEED 2018 will be conducted for admissions to Masters of Design (M.Des) programme across IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIITDM Jabalpur and IISc Bangalore.


Eligibility Criteria

As per the examination conducting body, for taking CEED 2018 the candidates need to have passed a degree/diploma/postgraduate degree programmes of 4 years or 3+2 years.

Candidates appearing in the final exam of such programmes by July 2018 or candidates with passed GD Arts diploma programme by July 2017 are also considered eligible.

There is no capping on the number of times candidates wants to appear in CEED 2018. Also, there is no age limit for appearing in CEED 2018.

Examination Pattern

The paper of CEED 2018 will have 2 parts Part A and Part B

Part A will be an online (computer based) test wherein the questions will be objective type (Multiple Choice Questions) MCQs

Part B of CEED 2018 Paper will test the candidates drawing, writing and designing skills. Candidates have to answer on a given sheet.

The total time duration given to candidates to complete the paper is 3 hours. Candidates have to finish part A in 1 hour, while the time allotted for part B is 2 hours.

October 9 to November 10, 2017

Submission of online application with late fee
November 11 to November 17,2017

Admit card availability
December 25, 2017- January 20, 2018

Last date for rectification of discrepancies in the admit card
January 5, 2018

Date of examination
January 20, 2018 (10 am to 1 pm)
