Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) is an autonomous law school situated in Patna, Bihar, India.

It was set up in 2006 by the Government of Bihar (Bihar Act 24 of 2006) as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education.

The Chief Justice of Patna High Court is the ex officio Chancellor of the university. Presently, the position is held by chief justice Hon`ble Justice L. Narasimha Reddy.

The vice-chancellor of the University is Prof. Dr. A. Lakshminath.

Student activities-
The Student Bar Council-
CNLU has 4 committees which coordinate the activities of the Student Bar Council (SBC), headed by the President of the University along with the Vice-president and other members of the Committees. The committees are:

1. Academic and Debating Committee
2. Mooting Committee
3. Hostel and Mess Committee
4. Cultural Committee

These committees are re-constituted every year.

Quizzing
Students at CNLU are attached to Quizzing. Intra-Quizzing Competition takes place every semester and is organized by the SBC.

Jeevatva (The CNLU Fest)
CNLU annual fest named JEEVATVA was organised recently. Students from many colleges across India participate in this fest.It includes cultural, sports and academic events. CNLU also organised the first grand scale Model United Nations event in Bihar.

Sports-
A choice of Sports Facilities like Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Badminton and Cricket are available within the campus.
