Re: Chanakya National Law University Entrance Exam CNLU

Chanakya National Law University CNLU offers various law courses. The admission in the following courses is done on the basis of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

LLM
LLD
PhD


Eligibility:
For UG:-
The candidate should have obtained a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Board with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved).
Candidates who are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test.
Age of candidate should not be more than 20 years for General/OBC candidates (22 years for others) .

For PG:-
A candidate should have obtained a LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% for reserved) from a recognized University.

Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test.

Application Form:
The application form along with the information broucher will be available at the designated branches of the State Bank of India, or in any of Law Schools against payment of Rs.3000/- only (Rs.2500/- in case of SC/ST/PWD).

The application form can also be obtained by post.The candidates may also apply online on to the official website of CLAT.

Exam Date:
This Law Entrance Exam is normally held in the Second week of May


Exam pattern/Syllabus:-
For UG:-

There will be total 200 questions in the exam to be completed in the time duration for 2 hours. The questions will be from the following sections:

English and Comprehension: 40 questions
General knowledge/Current Affairs 50 questions
Logical Reasoning: 45 questions
Basic mathematics: 20 questions
Legal Aptitude and legal awareness: 45 questions

All the questions will be of multiple choices with negative marking for wrong answers.

For PG:-
The PG exam pattern is given in the image attached below


Question paper:
The past four years CLAT question papers will be available at all the 14 National law Universities on payment of Rs. 100/- (Rs. One Hundred Only). The question papers can also be obtained by post from National Law University, Jodhpur.
