The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test held in India. It is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management and used for selecting students for their business administration programs. CAT Exam Dates CAT is normally held in the mid of October to November. Eligibility for CAT- Graduation with mini 50% aggregate and 45 % for SC/ST/PA/PWD category Final year student of graduation and the student who are waiting for the result can also apply. CAT Exam Fee Application form can be obtained on payment of Rs.1600 (Rs.800 for SC/ST candidates). Paper Pattern- Exam paper is of total 100 marks and the duration of exam is 2 hour 50 min. Exam paper consist of two section- 1 Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation –This section contain 50 questions. 2 Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning- It also contain 50 questions. |

CAT exams has been over. Sorry to say you miss this exam. Common Admission Test is conducted on National level by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), the top most B-schools of India to provide admission to the candidates into Post Graduate level Management Degree/Diploma programmes Tentative Important Dates (2014) Release of Advertisement 27th July 2014 (Sunday) Online Registration for CAT 06th August to 30th September 2014 Admit Card download Window 19th October 1:00 PM to 22nd November 2014 Test Dates 16th November (Sun) and 22nd November (Sat) 2014 Release of Results Third week of December 2014 CAT Exam Eligibility Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks. In case of the SC and ST, a minimum of 45% mark is sufficient. The eligibility criteria may vary from institute to Institute and from course to course as well. CAT Exam Pattern CAT 2014 will be of two sections: The first section will focus on Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation; The second section will focus on Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. The examination will be for 170 minutes. Once the time ends for the first section, they will move to the second section and will no longer be able to go back. A 15-minute tutorial will be provided before the start of the test, and candidates are advised to go through that carefully before starting the main examination. CAT Exam Syllabus There is no defined syllabus for the CAT exam. It is designed to assess the natural ability of a person towards their preferred field. Mainly, the questions are asked from Quantitative Aptitude Reading Comprehension & Verbal Ability and Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. |
