Yes you are eligible for the government jobs in Indian Railways. The Indian railway is a largest employee’s contender organization and every year invite to diploma holder for junior engineer post.

If you want to get job in Indian Railways after completing the diploma in Mechanical you need to apply for the junior engineer post.


The Recruitment of Junior Engineers under Ministry of Railways is done on the basis of scores of obtained in followings:

written test,
document verification
and medical test conducted by Railway Recruitment Board.


Eligibility:

Diploma holders in various disciplines with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for the post of Junior Engineers in various departments under the Ministry of Railways.


Candidates who fall in the age group of 18 – 33 years at the time of application can only apply.


There will be objective type multiple choice questions in the written test. Questions will be asked from the topics prescribed in the educational qualifications required for the posts. Apart from technical section there will be questions from topics such as

Arithmetic
General Intelligence
Reasoning

Pay scale:
Rs.9300-34800 with a grade pays of Rs.4200 only.
