Calicut University Admission

I want to get admission in MA Music in University of Calicut so can you please tell me the eligibility criteria for admission in this course?

The University of Calicut is an affiliating university located at Thenjipalam, Malappuram, Kerala. The University was established in 1968. It is approved by UGC.

MA Music Criteria for admission-

Admission to 12 seats is based on the merit of Bachelor degree in Music recognized by University of Calicut with a minimum of 45% marks in Part III main (Excluding Subsidiary).

Admission to remaining 3 seats shall be on the following criteria-

Bachelor Degree (recognized by University of Calicut) other than BA Music Degree are eligible for admission

In such cases, concerned departments of Music and a senior most faculty member together shall conduct the aptitude test.

Minimum requisite for appearing for aptitude test shall be ability to render an “ATA-TALA” Varna in 2 degrees of speeds Total Marks for aptitude test shall be 100.

Ranking of the students shall be computing the marks obtained in Part I & Part II with marks secured in Aptitude Test.

In the absence of eligible candidates from the categories, the above seats shall be allotted to BA Music degree holders.
