the NIFT Entrance test consist of the two Examination :

CAT
GAT

GAT (General Ability Test): 100 to 150 Objective questions – 2 hours
CAT (Creative Ability Test): 3-4 Questions – 3 hours
The GAT tests each students ability in Quantitative Math, Analytical Reasoning, English Communication, English Comprehension and General Knowledge

The CAT tests each student’s ability in Design Problem Solving, Visual Sense, Observation & Perception, Environmental Awareness, Mental Ability and Communication skills through a range of visual and textual questions.
