Can you tell me about the eligibility required for B.Tech scholarship offered by Foundation for Excellence in Bengaluru as I want to apply for it?

Only new and first time applicants are eligible to apply for a scholarship for professional degree course in engineering, technology or medicine.

Academic Eligibility Criteria

The academic eligibility criteria for professional courses in engineering, technology and medicine are:

Only the professional degree courses BE, B Tech and MBBS are eligible for scholarships.

Diploma students admitted to BE, B Tech courses on a lateral basis are not eligible.

Only first year applicants beginning their studies in BE, B Tech or MBBS are eligible.

The applicants need to pass the Higher Secondary/Pre-University/Intermediate/ CBSE/ISC or equivalent board qualifying examination.

The applicants should have scored not less than 70% marks at the qualifying examination.

The applicants' admissions to their professional degree courses/institutions should be on the basis of the Open/General merit rank awarded to them at the state or national level entrance tests.

Applicants who have obtained admission to IITs and medical colleges on the basis of national level tests (JEE, AIPMT, etc.) are given preference.

For students joining IITs, the eligibility/selection cutoff criteria is the total marks scored at the IIT JEE by the last ranked General Category student admitted.

The list of scholarships available for B.Tech graduates at University of Petroleum & Energy Studies is listed below:

SCHOLARSHIP/FEE CONCESSION
University of Petroleum & Energy Studies offers restricted scholarships in some specific programs as decided by the University. The scholarships are awarded solely on academic merit cum means.

Waiving of Tuition Fee partially/fully will be measured for those who are awarded scholarships.

The details of the scholarships would be provided to the aspirants in the student's bulletin given to the students at the time of registration. Award of Scholarships will be determined by the Scholarship Committee & its decision shall be final and binding.

25% Concession on Tuition fee
25% recognition on Tuition fee shall be provided only to Uttarakhand bonafide inhabitant students on merit-cum-means basis to be decided by the University subject to fulfilling the following conditions:
Students’ whose gross yearly family income is not more than 3 lakh.
Students’ who own valid ‘Sthai Niwas Praman Patra’ from Uttarakhand state
Should have qualified class X & XII level schooling from Uttarakhand. However, this condition may be tranquil for wards of defense personnel subject to producing of posting certificate outside the state issued by competent authority

100% Scholarship on Tuition Fee
Scholarship will be accessible to students securing an aggregate of 85% marks in class XII & 90% marks in PCM for B.Tech. (All Streams) in CBSE or ICSE Examination Board passing out in 2015. Such scholarships will be partial to 5% of seats in each B.Tech. Program. Scholarships will be selected after commencement of the classes in Merit order to qualified candidates.
Scholarships will be given on the basis of value only.
Continuation of Scholarship in the following year will be as per the University policy
