Amity University one of the prestigious and renowned Universities of Noida, announces admissions in Part Time / Full Time PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) program.

PhD. full time is for minimum 3 years and PhD. part time for minimum 4 years. Maximum duration in case of both the modes is 6 years. Amity encourages interdisciplinary research and exchange of ideas and knowledge in various related fields

Eligibility:
Masters Degree in English from any accredited Indian or Foreign University with a minimum of 55% marks or grade point average.

Selection process
One will be required to undertake PET (PhD. Entrance Test), on the date selected by them. PET will be a computer based test (CBT) followed by an Interview, on the same day

One will get intimation of the selection through an Online Admission Letter which can be printed from the Admission Micro site.

Details regarding payment of fees at the time of admission, date, time and venue for commencement of the academic session will be mentioned in the admission letter

Offer of admission will be provisional & valid only for the specific program opted by the candidate as well as for the same academic session. The offer of admission will automatically stand cancelled if the conditions are not fulfilled by the specified time.

Entrance Test

The Entrance Test shall be of one and half hour duration (i.e. 90 minutes) and of 70 marks consisting of 95 objective types of questions.

The Entrance Test will have two Sections (administered in one go), as mentioned here under:

Section 1
General 50 Questions of Masters level of 0.5 marks each (25 marks)

Section 1 shall be common to all the Applicants for testing the General Knowledge & Research Aptitude, covering questions from following area:

General Awareness
English Language
Logical Reasoning
Quantitative Analysis
Data Analysis and Interpretation

Section 2

Program Specific 45 Questions of Masters level of 1 mark each (45 marks)
Section 2 shall be Program / Subject specific as per proposed PhD program of the applicant (viz Management, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Physics, Law, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Microbiology, Psychology, English etc.)
This section shall be divided into two parts 25 questions shall be from the PhD Program subject & 20 questions from the PhD Program subject / allied subject
