AMIE IEI Age Eligibility Criteria

AMIE is the only way through which one can study engineering in the distance education mode and get a Recognized Engineering Degree.

AMIE stands for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers.

It is a degree level examination in engineering.

That means, those who successfully complete AMIE will get equal opportunities for job as well as higher education, just like a B.E or B.Tech holder.

Eligibility Criteria for T / ST Membership Technician Member

Applicants must satisfy the Council that he possesses the following :

Age : Applicants shall have attained the age of 17 ( Seventeen ) years on the date of his / her application for election.

Educational Qualification: Applicants shall have possessed an educational qualification recognized by the Council as given in the Institution Examinations Rules.

Senior Technician Members
Applicants shall have attained the age of 18 (eighteen) years on the date of his / her application for election or transfer, as the case may be.

Applicants shall be engaged in the engineering profession as a pupil or apprentice or assistant under a Corporate Member and shall, in the opinion of the Council, be making satisfactory progress in the acquisition of qualification for Corporate Membership provided that temporary unemployment is no bar to his election.

Applicants shall possessed either
(a) an accredited diploma examination in engineering or technology or its equivalent as recognized by the Council or
(b) such other examination recognized by the Council as exempting from passing Section A ( Non diploma ) Examination of the Institution.

AMIE IEI is Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers examination that is conducted by Institutions of Engineers, India.

AMIE Eligibility for Technician Members :

Age :

17 ( seventeen ) years

Educational Qualification :

Candidate should possess an educational qualification recognized by the Council.

Academic Training :
Candidate should be making satisfactory progress in the acquisition of qualification for corporate membership.


AMIE Senior Technician Members Eligibility :

Age :

18 ( eighteen ) years on the date of his application for election or transfer.

Examination:

Candidate should passed either ( a ) an accredited diploma examination in engineering or technology or its equivalent as recognized by the Council or ( b ) such other examination recognized by the Council as exempting from passing Section A ( Non – Diploma ) Examination of the Institution.

Educational Qualification :

Applicant who have passed an examination, shall be eligible to apply for Senior Technician membership.
