The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will offer IISc Admission in Bachelor of Science (research programme) based on the merit of candidates in KVPY, JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

The admissions are through counselling which will begin tentatively in mid-June and end around the last week of July 2018 for candidates applying through all channels.

IISc BS Eligibility Criteria 2018

For all Candidates (Qualifying Examination)

One must have passed II PUC/12th class in 2017 or appearing in 2018 are eligible to apply.

One should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in the qualifying exam.

One must have studied Biology, Electronics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc., along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is also eligible.

With the subject combination mentioned above, one need to have secured first class or 60% or equivalent grade is eligible.

SC/ST candidate is given relaxation in pass percentage. One only needs to pass II PUC/12th class in order to be considered eligible for admission.
