NCBS Library
NCBS is a prime experiment institute with all the essential services that a research scientist may require. Research interest’s staff laid in the frontier fields of biology. The endowment and drive of NCBS’s students and staff extends to demonstrate the way to good science. Research at NCBS (a part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research) applies experimental and computational approaches to the study of particles, cells and organisms.
The library is the feature of the academic building. It is an of course lit and airy 3-story structure with a prominent reading room and 2 floors of stacks, and other library services are situated in the basement. NCBS journal properties reflect the research interests of the groups here. In addition to the major technological daybooks, each group typically suggests two or three specialised journals to add to the holdings. As the centre is young its back issues date back only to 1993. NCBS is extending its back holdings utilizing digital media as these become available from the publishers.
