The Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) was established in July 1989, named after Yashwantrao Chavan, Maharashtra's great political leader and builder of modern Maharashtra.

Its jurisdiction is for the State of Maharashtra. It has been recognised under section 12 (B) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. It is the 5th Open University in India.

General Procedure to Obtain Migration Certificate



One has to fill the prescribed Migration Form and pay the necessary fees along with Xerox copies of the consolidated mark sheet.

The Migration Certificate will be sent by Registered Post only.

The Migration Certificate fee of Rs.300.00 is to be paid in the form of DD drawn on any
Nationalized bank in the name of the “Finance Officer, Y.C.M. Open University” payable at Nashik.

The Migration certificate is issued to one who has completed a programme and has no Fee dues pending against one’s name.
