The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Management under Weekend Degree Program in Xavier University. Academic Requirements Core Curriculum: Minimum 64 credit hours Major in Management: 18 credit hours which includes 9 hours in specific management courses and 9 hours of major electives. Business Core: 42 hours. Minimum half of the 42 total credit hours must be taken at Xavier. Business Core courses include: Introductory Financial Accounting, Introductory Managerial Accounting, Legal Environment, Microeconomic Principles, Macroeconomic Principles, International Trade & Business Environment, Business Finance, Introduction to Business Technology, Managing Information Technology, Managerial Behavior, Managerial Communication, Quality and Productivity in Operations, Principles of Marketing, Human Resources in a Diverse Society, and Statistics for Business II. Core Curriculum The Core Curriculum symbolizes Xavier’s mission and philosophy of education and serves as a valuable foundation for all undergraduate students. Within the Core, the four-course Ethics/Religion and Society (E/RS) Focus fosters students’ understanding of socially significant issues through study of the humanities, especially literature, philosophy and theology, and the social and natural sciences. Beside courses in their major, Xavier students also take Core courses in: cultural diversity, English composition, fine arts, foreign language, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy, science, social science and theology. Xavier University Weekend Degree Program Spring 2016 Weekend Degree Program The Weekend Degree Program courses meet for one Sunday and eight Saturdays. You can take one or two classes during each term. The term dates are: January Term: Sunday, January 10 Saturdays, January 16, 23, 30 February 6, 13, 20, 27 March 5 March Term: Sunday, March 6 Saturdays, March 12, 19 April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 May 7 Morning Class times: Sunday 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm; Saturdays 8:30 am – 12:00 pm Morning 16 week classes will meet from 9:30 am – noon on Saturdays Afternoon Class times: Sunday 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm; Saturdays 12:45 pm – 4:15 pm Weekend Degree Program Office Hours: Mondays -Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Saturdays 8:00am - 2:00pm Preassignment Sundays 10:30am - 2:30pm |
