Union public service commission (UPSC) conduct Combined Medical Services Examination every year for recruiting the eligible candidates for various medical field posts .

Eligibility :
Age - limits:
Below 32 years

Age-limit relax able as notified by Govt. from time to time.

Educational Qualification:

Pass in the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.

Candidates appearing at the final MBBS Examination are also eligible to apply.

Candidate must complete rotating internship .

Scheme of Examination

Written Examination :
2 papers of 200 marks each
both of objective type

Paper I (200 marks)
(i) General Medicine including Cardiology, Neurology, Dermatology and Psychiatry
60%

(ii) Surgery including ENT, Ophthalmology, Traumatology and Orthopaedics
40%

Paper II (200 Marks)
(i) Paediatrics
20%

(ii) Gynaecology and Obstetrics
40%

(iii) Preventive, Social and Community Medicine
40%

Total marks for written exam.
400
