Sikkim University, a Central University, was set up under an Act of Parliament of India and appeared on 2 July 2007. By creating qualities in coinciding with the regular and social prosperity of Sikkim, the University is relied upon to contribute substantively to the country building process by assembling the rich scholarly legacy of the district.

Sikkim University as of late directed exams for all semesters (1,3,5-odd sem and 2,4,6 even sem) for different courses like B.Sc, B.A, B.B.A, B.Litt., B.C.S, B.Com, B.C.A, M.B.A, MCA, LLM, M.A, M. Sc, and others courses offered by the University.
