Re: William Carey University Gifted Endorsement

The William Carey University WCU School of Education offers K-12 supplemental endorsements in gifted education, mild/moderate disabilities, reading education, and health education.

A supplementary endorsement may be earned by completing the prescribed coursework.

These programs have been approved for licensure by the Mississippi Department of Education.

Gifted Education K-12

Attain an endorsement in Gifted Education in one year. A four-part endorsement series is designed for distinct groups of students:

Instructors, seeking support as they teach in the gifted classroom (those under emergency certification);

Regular classroom teachers desiring an add-on endorsement in gifted education;

Class AA teachers desiring to gain an additional 12 hours of postgraduate work;

Parents, guidance counselors, and teacher assistants needed groundwork in gifted education.
