The William Carey University is provides application form for Free Throw Program. The William Carey University is approved for a unique program designed to provide an opportunity for non-education graduates to enter the teaching profession and to earn a Master of Education degree in the Art of Teaching.

The program is designed to lead to standard licensure with the option of earning a masters degree. Because of the nature of this program, all work must be completed at William Carey University.

Upon completion of the 12 Free Throw hours, students must then apply for regular admission to WCU and may qualify for scholarships based on the GPA in those 12 hours.

Free Throw Eligibility:


ACT comp. 16 19
First-time Freshman status
Must not have attended a college or university following high school graduation

Requirements:


Must enroll in 12 hours of college courses
Must be advised by the Free Throw designated advisor in the Office of Student Assistance
Course placement is determined based upon ACT subscores and course availability
Must achieve a GPA of 2.5 or higher on the 12 hours of Free Throw courses
