Dr. Manas K Mandal, Director General - Life Sciences (LS)

Dr. Manas K Mandal has taken over as the Director General - Life Sciences with effect from 02 Sep 2013.

Earlier he has served as the Chief Controller R&D (LS) from 1st March 2013.

Dr Mandal was a Professor of Psychology at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT, Kharagpur, prior to joining DRDO.

Dr Mandal specialises in the areas of social cognition and experimental neuropsychology.

He has to his credit 11 books, and 105 research papers (82 international and 23 national)
published in peer-reviewed journals.

These researches have been cited in more than 250 international journals and books.
